Stories first. Always.

OUR STORY

It began with a simple idea: to create spaces where people could show up as they are and be heard.

How Kommune was Born

Mission:

To build platforms where art is accessible, sustainable, and deeply human.

Evolution:

To grow a cultural ecosystem where stories are not just consumed, but lived, shared, & carried forward.

SPOKEN fest

A large crowd of people at Spoken Fest at night, many holding up smartphones with flashlights on. There is a stage with bright lights and several wooden structures. The background shows palm trees and high-rise buildings.

Spoken is our live storytelling vertical, curating experiences that bring stories, poetry, music, and conversations to the stage. From large scale festivals to more focussed Spoken salons, this is where stories are felt collectively.

Step into the experience.

Brandwork

Focuses on culture, brands, discovery, and digital storytelling, capturing moments, artists, and experiences across formats. It’s where content meets culture, and stories find new audiences.

Kommune’s city chapters are independently driven communities that bring our ethos to life across the country. Each chapter curates events, nurtures local artists, and builds a space for stories to thrive.

KOMMUNE OFFLINE

A stage in an auditorium with a performer standing at a podium, decorated with a backdrop and floral arrangements, in front of an audience seated in the dark. The setting appears to be for a cultural or musical event at Shabd.

From open mics to theatre showcases, Kommune Offline is where we create new work. Home to all things in-person, it’s a space where we test, perform, collaborate, and grow in front of an intentional audience. If you are keen to hear new stories and find ever-evolving art, this is where you belong.

Kommune’s impact lies in the communities we’ve built and the stories we’ve amplified. Across cities, formats, and audiences, we’ve created spaces where expression feels possible and where people feel seen.
